Our journey began four years ago today, as God led our family to Florence Baptist Temple where we witnessed a momentous celebration during the 50th anniversary of the church and the dedication of ‘The Sower’ that reminds us to be involved in God’s work of sowing the gospel.

Our family received kindness and love from the moment we entered the building. Then we experienced worshipping together, and a biblically based, godly message from Pastor Monroe. We quickly realized that FBT was our new home and an answer to our prayers! The decision was easy to make as we saw a church that is biblically minded and teaches from the authority of scripture, but also focuses on reaching the next generation for Christ.

The immediate impact that FBT has had upon my family has been incredible as we are continually growing together relationally and spiritually. We immediately began to become plugged into the ministry seeking for opportunities to serve.

My wife and I are filled with joy as we teach together in the 4K ministry planting the seed of the gospel and impacting the next generation of believers. My wife is involved in choir and the Preschool ministry, and I am part of the Usher ministry and help where I can with FBT sports. FBT is a place not only for adults to get involved but also younger people. I am overwhelmingly encouraged that my children can volunteer for programs and events. My 13-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter were quick to take part in the Pastors prayer team. As a family we have participated in New Move Visitation to reach new people with the gospel.

We are blessed that our children are continually being taught sound doctrine by learning how to correctly discern the Word in their Sunday School classes and share what they learned to others. Seeing our children grow in the faith and knowing their future is in heaven means everything to me.

We are so thankful to have found a wonderful church home for our family and invite you to join us!
