“Chest of Joash Day” is the title of our “Commitment Sunday”, the annual Sunday where our FBT Family commits to the daily disciplines of Discipleship such as Bible reading & prayer, witnessing, faithful church attendance, church service, and tithing.
This opportunity is a personal, private commitment between each individual member and God! FBT Members anonymously fill out their commitment cards, walk forward, and drop them into the representative “Chest(s) of Joash”.
The story of the Chest of Joash is found in 2 Kings 12 and 2 Chronicles 24.
