Our vision at FBT is to be an ACTS 2 church. What does that mean exactly? The local church of Acts 2 was filled with people who loved Jesus Christ, so much so, they were willing to die for Him. After all, Jesus had just been brutally killed 6 weeks before. Claiming to love Him in such a hostile culture could have proven deadly.
They also loved one another. It was genuine, authentic and so real. They shared their lives and possessions. They laughed cried, prayed, ate, and served. Their lives had been transformed and they were charged with the Holy Spirit. They had a "...singleness of heart... " (Acts 2:46). It was a unity of purpose... a God given strategy.
In Acts 2, God has given us the pattern and the strategy for the Church.

3. WITNESSING was their priority.
4. They made DISCIPLES.
So what is a disciple? The word disciple is defined as a learner. They have a guru or mentor. If you're a disciple, you're learning to be like Jesus Christ. He is our model for all of life. You don't want to stay where you were when you got saved. It's a process. Ongoing.
" The conversion of a soul is the miracle of a moment but the making of a saint is the work of a lifetime." - Alan Redpath
