“My name is Corbett Stone and I direct a local Reformers Unanimous Chapter at the Florence Baptist Temple in Florence, South Carolina. We’ve offered the RU Addiction Program for the past 19 years and have seen wonderful success. Our Friday night class averages 134 students each week, and our Sunday morning class averages 92.
I want to invite you to attend an Addictions Conference our church is hosting on March 23rd and 24th, 2023. This is not a Reformers Unanimous Regional Conference, but a local church wanting to reach out to help and encourage local churches that offer a regular addictions program. This free two-day conference is open to all who would like to attend. We invite the Pastor, Addictions Program Director, and/or any of your leadership team who would like to attend.
It has been an extremely difficult time for all of us through the Covid epidemic, especially to those who minister to the addicted. Now that we are coming out of Covid restrictions, we thought it would be beneficial to have a time of encouragement, networking, and sharing of ideas about how to be more effective in our ministries. The conference schedule will include challenging and inspiring messages, informative training sessions, and sharing of helpful proven practices of ministering to the addicted. The conference will include training sessions Thursday and Friday from 9 am – 4pm, an evening service Thursday night, culminating with a “Live RU Class” Friday night.
We have included a link below that will allow you to register for the conference. Please include the names of all those from your church who plan to attend. We want to be prepared
to provide conference materials to each person. Each attendee will be responsible for their own hotel accommodations and food during the conference. The church is located at 2308 S. Irby St., Florence, SC. We would recommend you seek lodging either in the historic downtown section of Florence or the hotels located off of West Radio Dr.
