YOUTH

ALL JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS ARE WELCOME!

We would love to have you come and check out what we offer teens! You will probably recognize several people from your school, and you will find caring adults that want to help you learn about God, His Word, and the difference it can make in your life.

    SUNDAY @ 9:00 A.M.

Students from Jr. and Sr. High meet in the Youth Center for assembly prior to their Sunday School Classes. At 10:30, join the other teens in the worship center for the morning service. At 6:00, we go back to the worship center for our less formal evening service.

    WEDNESDAY @ 6:00 P.M.

Join 80-100 teens for Youth Choir practice, as they prepare to sing weekly for our main service, as well as preparing for Choir Tour and other special events throughout the year.  No auditions  are required – anyone can participate!  After we kick off the main service, we head over to  our Youth Center for our Souled Out service, which starts a little after 7 and ends at 8 PM.  Formats differ each week but always offer students a chance to study and grow together.

    We also offer:

    • YOUTH CAMP, which we believe is the most important week in a teenager's life
    • Discipleship training for Jr. and Sr. High students,  both in groups and one on one, to help them develop a biblical worldview and impact their world for Christ.  Students can even earn great trips by completing our Fall Sr. High or Spring Jr. High programs!
    • Choir tour
    • 5th quarter
    • Bowlathon - an all night event in January

Our Student Ministry exists to reach students for Jesus Christ and to connect them through meaningful relationships. We seek to grow students who honor God with their lives and serve others out of a passion for Him.

    • Music

We believe strongly that children and youth can serve the Lord even at young ages! Music is one of the ways they do this.

    • RU FULL THROTTLE FOR TEENS [ages 13-17]...

Teens today face a severe amount of peer pressure as well as excessive exposure to addictive substances as early as middle school. According to the latest studies, 72% of high school students admit to having consumed alcohol. Close to 20% of American high school students say they drink and use drugs during class, and some even admitted to buying drugs from classmates. Studies also show that teens whose parents are addicted to drugs or alcohol are especially vulnerable to abuse. According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, more than 90% of people with a substance problem began smoking, drinking or using other drugs before age 18. Never before has there been such a need for a preventive, pro-active program for teens.
